Wake up Tired, So uninspired
EuphoricSo what's been happening lately in life? Not a lot to be honest. I've been working 5-6 days a week to bring in the cash so I can keep alive. As such there's been little to no free time to do the fun things in life like art and music. Hence the lack of updates. I'm hoping to change this soon though. Not the work part, i'll keep working as much as possible, but the art/ music part. Life is pretty boring without them.
Also, I've been able to attend a few gigs lately. Last thursday night, a few good mates of mine were fortunate enough to get their first gig so I wnet along and supported them, and had a great night. Their band, Substance D was great, and Soma (another mate's band also on teh bill) were as reliable as ever.It was a fun night, and its great to support local music.
On the topic of local music, I was also graced with seeing The Butterfly Effect again, for the fourth time, on Saturday night. For anyone who still hasn't caught on, they are my favourite band in the world. Of all time. Maybe its because I can tend towards loving local music, and these guys are the most patriotic bastards out there. Or maybe its because their music is great, and there is honestly not one song I dislike. Or maybe its because I've been listening to them for half my life. Maybe its because they're great, down to earth blokes... you get the point. There's lots of reasons as to why I love them.
So I saw them with my mate on Saturday night, and we were lucky enough to be part of the sold out crowd in the Enmore Theatre, while they were filming for an upcoming dvd. This made their show all the moer better, because they went all out, and put on by far the ebst live show I've been to.
I also finally got myself the Butterfly Effect flag, which I'll upload a picture of soon. And then it will hang in my room forever. Good times.
So basically, thats been my life. Work, work work, and a couple of great gigs.
Also, on Tuesday I get my marks back for last semester. Should be interesting.
